MATHS
Esperance Primary School implements a whole school approach towards teaching Numeracy, to ensure teachers' confidence and competence in teaching the Western Australian Curriculum: Mathematics. These approaches are embedded across the whole school, so that staff and students have a common and consistent pedagogy and language. Staff use these approaches to complement the Mathematics Planning documents from the Western Australian Curriculum to inform their planning, teaching, assessment and reporting in all strands of the Australian Curriculum: Mathematics.

As a Teacher Development School, Esperance Primary is recognised for its curriculum expertise, exemplary teaching and learning practices across schools, networks and professional learning communities. Through this role, Esperance Primary School continues to initiate and provide explicit and tailored professional learning (face-to-face and online) to build capacity and confidence of all teachers/schools across the Esperance Network, Regions and the State.
